Ibdaa Microfinance Bank participates in the first conference of the Arab Union for Productive Families, Crafts and Traditional Industries

The Ebdaa Microfinance Bank, represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors Adel Bellah and CEO Adeeb Sharaf, participated in the work of the first conference of the Arab Union for Productive Families, Crafts and Traditional Industries, which was launched on Monday in Damascus. Sharaf, during his participation in the dialogue session devoted to talking about “mechanisms of small and microfinance and its direct impact on productive families and craft and traditional industries,” pointed out the importance of turning to the craft sectors in a way that contributes to improving the income of productive families and enhancing their living conditions, indicating that future plans must focus on Increasing support for those seeking funding, providing services, and linking with entities that can speed up the marketing process for craft products. He stated that the bank is not for profit, and works to reduce operational costs in a way that reflects on customers, facilitate the guarantees required to obtain financing and main credit for the project, and ensure that the project owner is capable of managing his project and the needs of its success. He explained that there is a continuous expansion in access centers to cover the largest area of ​​Syria, as partnerships have been concluded with the Postal Corporation, money transfer companies, and government banks to benefit from their branches and offices, adding that the bank, through these partnerships, seeks to reach more than 600 access centers. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ebdaa Bank, Adel Bellah, said in his intervention during the session that the bank has a network of branches in many Arab countries, and is ready to cooperate with the Arab Federation of Productive Families and develop credit strategies specific to each type of project to facilitate the financing process for these projects. The Arab Union of Productive Families, Crafts and Traditional Industries opened its first conference in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Monday evening at the Opera House, in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Saif al-Din, the sponsor of the conference, the Minister of Industry, Ziad Sabbagh, the Syrian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bashar al-Jaafari, the Governor of Damascus, Muhammad Tariq Krishati, and the President of The Union, Mr. Muhammad Abdel Basset Al-Qadh, the heads of the regional offices in the Union, and a large number of economic figures from Syria and the Arab world.
