Ebdaa Microfinance Bank is a strategic sponsor of the Green Investment Conference
The Ebdaa Microfinance Bank participated as a strategic sponsor in the green investment conference specializing in medicinal and aromatic plants, which was held at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad Hassan Qatna, and organized by the Union of Syrian Chambers of Agriculture. The CEO of the Bank, Mr. Adeeb Sharaf, indicated in a statement to reporters that participating in sponsoring the conference came within the Bank’s strategic vision to support investment in the agricultural sector and achieve integration between all parties, as financing is an important and key part of that. He stated that financing is provided on simple and easy terms for anyone who has an idea to establish a small project, stressing that the bank seeks to develop a number of services during the coming period to be electronic. Sharaf added that the bank is financing many small agricultural projects, and projects related to medicinal and aromatic plants will be part of them, noting that communication was made during the conference with many parties concerned with the agricultural sector, and this will be reflected in more support for projects in this sector. The Bank’s Executive Vice President, Mr. Abdullah Al-Jawdah, also participated in the dialogue session specialized in the legislative and financing aspects of medicinal and aromatic plants, where he stressed that the Bank seeks, through its presence at the conference, to increase its contribution to financing projects related to medicinal and aromatic plants and their manufacturing, and to introduce the Bank’s work in the field of microfinance. The Executive Vice President spoke about the bank, which provides comprehensive and innovative services to people with limited income and entrepreneurs that suit their needs and improve their income, which leads to alleviating unemployment and poverty in all segments of society and creating broad job opportunities through projects that will be established through the bank’s financing. Note that the bank has worked during the past period to finance many projects in the agricultural sector, including home crops, mushroom cultivation, greenhouses, irrigation projects, solar energy, livestock raising, apiaries, and poultry raising.
