The CEO of Ibdaa Bank for Microfinance "Syria" Adeeb Sharaf stressed in a lecture entitled "Digital Transformation and Financing Small and Medium Enterprises" within the activities of the Finance and Insurance Technology Exhibition the importance of developing financial services based on Internet and mobile phone applications, i.e. digitizing all banking operations from collecting customer data and filling out credit applications to granting and repaying loans and collecting installments. He pointed out that the Creativity Bank for Microfinance "Syria" is currently working on preparing an integrated electronic banking system to be launched soon, which includes the possibility of opening bank accounts and submitting loan applications from the beginning until granting them and inquiring about them and paying installments and paying bills and transferring between accounts and insurance services and displaying banking products. The CEO of the bank Adeeb Sharaf also explained in a statement to a SANA correspondent that the electronic banking system will be launched soon after completing the connection with the Syrian Company for Electronic Payments and a number of concerned companies. He explained that the bank's participation in the exhibition aims to promote the services it intends to launch in the coming period after obtaining the necessary approvals from the regulatory authorities represented by the Central Bank of Syria, noting that the bank intends to provide its digital banking system to all its customers wherever they are through an electronic application on the mobile phone that is being designed, which contributes to strengthening the partnership with other financial institutions with greater spread such as the Syrian Post Corporation and internal transfer companies. He stressed the bank's endeavor to digitize all the financing services it provides to achieve its goals in financial inclusion and directing loans towards the most vulnerable groups in society and increasing the number of development loans for owners of small and medium enterprises.
