Ibdaa Bank’s contribution to rehabilitating the Center for People with Disabilities in the Directorate of Social Affairs
The Social Affairs and Labor Directorate in Damascus opened a center for people with disabilities on the ground floor of the building with the contribution of Ibdaa Bank for Microfinance. The Deputy CEO of Ibdaa Bank, Abdullah Al-Joudeh, indicated that the bank's participation in rehabilitating the center comes through the bank's interest in achieving economic development and taking into account the social dimension, including interest in people with disabilities. He stressed that the bank is ready to provide financial services to people with disabilities, whether through soft loans for those who have the ability and desire to establish their own small projects and create job opportunities to improve their economic conditions, including women who support people with disabilities. The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus, Dalin Fahd, explained that the rehabilitation of a special center for people with disabilities on the ground floor of the directorate came as a result of their suffering when visiting the directorate and their need to climb to the upper floors to obtain a disability card and obtain assistance. She indicated that the rehabilitation of the center came under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, and with the support of Ibdaa Bank for Microfinance, the Afkar Foundation for Social Development, and the Baladi Platform
